Queens opts for sustainable wild caught fish

Queens opts for products which feature the MSC quality mark, which are caught and processed with a focus on sustainability and nature as much as possible.

“The sea is a great source of life, which your grandchildren should naturally also be able to enjoy later in life. Consciously, both in nature and in the kitchen. That’s why Queens opts for products which feature the MSC quality mark, which are caught and processed with a focus on sustainability and nature as much as possible.”

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) has been helping to promote sustainable fisheries and healthy oceans since the 1990s. The MSC fisheries certification programme forms an important part of this. The quality mark drawn up by the United Nations states that every fishery is obliged to follow 3 important principles:

  • The fish stocks must be, and continue to be, healthy.
  • Fisheries can only (continue to) have a minimal impact on the ecosystem.
  • Fisheries management must be well organised and monitored.

Queens Products has featured the MSC quality mark on most of its range since 2007. This is easy to recognise by the blue mark on the packaging.

Queens Products is registered under number SGS-NL-MSC-C-50471.
